The eMatch network and partners have extended knowledge in the European ICT and media industries, defined by Eurostat and OECD as the new Information and Communication Sector - ICS. eMatch activities focuses on expanding the business opportunities for ICS businesses and includes ICS intensive users and competitive institutes in the innovation consortiums and processe. To be able to set up viable project consortiums, eMatch is also open for ICS-intensive user organisations and institutes.
As an excample, the Norwegian ICS suppliers represent a turnover of around 20 B€ in 2008 from the following sub-business sectors
- Publishing (4 B€)
- FIlm, video -television production and music publishing (0.6 B€)
- Broadcasting services (1.1 B€)
- Telecommunications (7.5 B€)
- Technology services, e.g. software production (5.2 B€)
- Information services. e.g. ad agencies (0,6 Be)
